![]() ![]() The Icon is still made too, but it and the Bromberg aren't the biggest sellers in the world. ![]() I later had to come to terms with that fact I didn't really like the way it sounded, even without frets on it, but if you want the most ergonomic bass ever made, you want a Bromberg. I had a Bromberg 5 string FL for a while and it was, far and away, the most ergonomic and comfortable bass I've ever laid my hands on. ![]() I personally am not really charged up about their current designs, except the Brian Bromberg. The only bad thing about Kiesel is resale value, an unfortunate problem they inherited from the Carvin days.īut I wouldn't let that deter you from getting one. Since their manufacturing hasn't significantly changed when Jeff Kiesel took over most of the operation from his dad, I don't see any reason to think their instruments have gone down in quality, so I wouldn't worry that you'll get a badly made bass from them. Not just at that price point, but period, in my experience. I was a Carvin guy for a number of years, and their QC and overall build quality just simply blew past everybody else at 1000mph. ![]()
